Wrapped up in LOVE

It’s the first snowfall of December in Minneapolis today — time to bust out the hats, scarves and gloves for the season! There’s nothing quite like the joy of winter accessorizing in my opinion. I have a large collection of scarves, hats and gloves from around the world (Scotland, Ireland, London, Austria and Sweden – not to mention travels to NYC, Boston and Chicago) but my wardrobe of scarves is by far my largest and most prized collection. They can dress up or down an outfit, add a pop of color, bring a little boho flare to your look, or keep you snuggly warm in the cold winter months. I think it’s fair to say that nearly 50% of the time from September to April you’ll find me wearing a scarf.

Today my fashionable colleague Josette is sporting an adorable scarf from Anthropologie— one of my favorite stores and mecca of fantastic accessories. So in honor of the snowfall and beautiful winter wear, this is my tribute to Anthropologie’s fantastic scarf collection.

Scarves, How Do I Love Thee

Scarves, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee in wool and cotton and cashmere;
You bring my outfit to life, when feeling out of sight
For the months of winter and cooler nights.

 I love thee to the level of everyday’s
Most stylish need, in day or evening attire.

I love thee freely, as I strive for beauty
I love thee purely,  as I turn from the cold
I love thee with a passion put to use
with my old jeans, and with my favorite boots.

I love thee with a love only you can inspire
With a Ring of Warmth, — I love thee with the white,
black, colors of all my wardrobe! — And, if there shall be a sale,
I shall but love thee better half-priced.

I need to have this one!
