Yesterday we shot our engagement photos which was really fun — I cannot wait to see how they turn out! We chose to shoot them in Charlestown, Mass., because it was an area of Boston that has the unique charm of old New England but isn’t as crowded as the North End and also has the Navy Yard nearby with a great shot of the city in the background.
Not only were the neighborhoods adorable enough with the antique doors, row houses and brick streets, but everyone seems to put a lot of effort into decorating their stoops in Charlestown. Selfishly, I was extremely grateful for these efforts given our photos and but also wished I had a little stoop to put out some pumpkins or seasonal potted plants.
Given that inspiration, here are some of my favorite looks for your front porch this fall:

From The Butlers
One of my best friends is currently at the hospital delivering a little baby girl and I am excited. beyond. words. Add that to the fact that I managed to snag some quality snuggles with our friends’ four-month-old beauty this morning and I have babies on my mind BIG TIME. (Sorry, Chris.)
I am a massive baby cuddler and am tortured by the distance between me and some of the beautiful little bambinos back home. In some regards, this is probably okay, because if I were around them more I’d spend hundreds of dollars buying them adorable little skirts, booties, hats and toys with little to no self-control.
Thanks to the beauty of the Internet, though, I can enjoy their cuteness from afar and send a package or two when tiny baby duds get the best of me.
Clockwise from top left: DIY headband from Love Stitched; Buff Baby Rattle; Dark Blue Romper; One piece suit from The Gap (this one’s for little Sabrina!); Cuddle Me Bodysuit; Bear Bootles; Katy at I Am Chasing Baby‘s little beauty Stella and her adorable headbands; Baby sweater from Crew Cuts; Secret Garden Baby Hat from Patina; Cable Knit Cardigan and Cap; Vintage Girl Socks
Kate Spade is a designer for the girl’s girl and her Wedding Belles collection is the epitome of girly gear for the big day. Even the accessories for the bridesmaids are adorned in scripty phrases “partners in crime,” “peas in a pod,” and “birds of a feather.”
For a gal pal that makes you look that good, there’s only one question to ask…
“Kate, will you be my bridesmaid?”
I got to spend my Sunday morning shooting newborn photos for an old friend from home. It was so wonderful to catch up for the first time in years and meet her precious little girl Naomi.
I’m still working through the photos but couldn’t get enough of the two below. How beautiful is she?!
What a way to start a Sunday! :)
One thing I love about weddings is that each one is personal and you can appreciate the beautiful gowns, interesting venues and fabulous ideas even if it’s a totally different style than what you’d choose.
This wedding below via Style Me Pretty was a modern affair at the Art Institute of Chicago, and even though our wedding will be a rustic barn celebration, I can’t help but love their unique style.
And how insanely fabulous is that dress?!

We had a lot of QT with Chris’s good friends this weekend, which made the weekend go by too quickly and reminded me how lucky I am to be welcomed into such an awesome group of people.
I even got to spend some camera-in-her-face time with the newest addition to the group — adorable little Meghan. I shot some family photos with the little peanut and her sweet older brother and could have spent all day oohing and aahing over all the cute moments.
I’ve really just started to go through the photos but had to share this one that I already love.
I could snuggle babies all day long.
To my Valentine…
and all my loved ones, near and far.
May your day be filled with hugs and kisses!
